OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Impacts behind the scenes

BECOME A NON-ADVOCATE VOLUNTEER FOR CASA

There are a number of ways you can contribute your time and talents to CASA-Voices For Children:

  • Recruiting volunteers: public speaking, staffing tables at events, talking to friends, hanging CASA posters in your community

  • Teaching a skill, trade, or hobby to foster youth (music or art lessons, professional apprenticeships, craft activities, household maintenance, budget planning, etc.)

  • Inviting CASA staff to present a program to your community or civic group, recruiting volunteers, requesting a donation, etc.

  • Getting CASA information out via e-newsletter, posters, brochures in pay envelopes, etc.

  • Organizing a fundraiser or contacting businesses for in-kind donations such as food, prizes in connection with a special event or for volunteer recognition, office supplies, etc.

  • Presenting an in-service training workshop on a topic about which you have professional expertise

  • Helping to renovate our CASA Advocacy Center (opening soon!) - a building next to our program offices that will serve as the home for our Trauma-Informed Tutoring and Independent Living Programs, provide sensory-friendly meeting spaces for advocates and families, and house our donations of in-kind items

  • Working within our donation center to create an organized space for our physical items serving tangible needs
